WASHINGTON, DC - November 21, 2024: The 2024 Fourth Estate Award Gala at the National Press Club honors some of journalism’s finest. This year’s winner of the National Press Club’s Fourth Estate Award were honoring Jim VandeHei and Mike Allen of Axios, who have revolutionized how audiences consume their news. And the winners of the John Aubuchon Press Freedom Awards were the non-profit newsroom of Mississippi Today, Wael Al-Dahdouh, Al Jazeera’s Gaza bureau chief, and Yvette Cabrera, senior reporter at the Center for Public Integrity.
